NATIONAL ORGANIZATION OF CONCERNED BLACK MEN, INC. CONDEMNS RACIST AND MISOGYNISTIC ATTACKS AGAINST BLACK WOMEN
WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES, September 2, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The National Organization of Concerned Black Men (CBM), Inc. unequivocally and vehemently condemns the vile, racist, and misogynistic language directed by Laura Loomer toward Florida State Representative Angie Nixon and other Black women in public life. Calling Representative Nixon a “ghetto b***” was reprehensible. Doubling down with racial stereotypes and dehumanizing references to “Ebonics,” barking, and a leash crossed yet another line of basic human decency.
How dare she or anyone believe that a Black woman can be publicly degraded in this manner without consequence, condemnation, or response?
There should be no place in America where a Black woman is demeaned, dehumanized, or attacked because of her race and gender, and anyone stands silent. As an organization founded by Black men and committed for more than 50 years to leadership, mentorship, dignity, and responsibility, CBM believes that our responsibility extends beyond protecting our own interests. It requires us to speak when the dignity of Black women is attacked.
“As a Black woman and as CEO of an organization founded by Black men, I should not have to ask Black men—or anyone—to speak up when a Black woman or any woman is publicly subjected to racist or misogynistic attacks,” said Dr. Karen A. McRae, CEO of the National Organization of Concerned Black Men. “There must be a line that decency, humanity, and respect tell us cannot be crossed, regardless of politics. This is one of those lines. When Black women are demeaned and dehumanized, our voices should not have to be summoned. The condemnation should be immediate, unequivocal, and loud.”
We can disagree about politics. We can debate policy. We can challenge one another’s records, positions, and ideas. But racism and misogyny are not political debate. Calling a Black woman a “ghetto b***h,” invoking racist stereotypes about how Black people speak, and comparing a Black woman to an animal are not legitimate political discourse. They are racist and dehumanizing. And the response to such conduct cannot be a whisper.
The condemnation should be swift. It should be unequivocal. And it should come from Democrats, Republicans, independents, elected officials, civic leaders—and particularly from Black men
Our mothers are Black women. Our daughters are Black women. Our sisters, wives, colleagues, mentors, teachers, leaders, and friends are Black women. We cannot celebrate their strength when it is convenient and disappear when they are under attack.
We must never become comfortable spectators to the public humiliation of Black women. CBM condemns these remarks in the strongest possible terms, and we call upon leaders across the political spectrum to do the same. Silence in the face of this kind of racist and misogynistic degradation does not demonstrate neutrality. Silence gives it room to grow..
Representative Angie Nixon deserves the same dignity and respect owed to every woman and every human being. So do Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, former Congresswoman Cori Bush, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, and every Black woman who has been subjected to this kind of language.
We must not normalize it.
We must not excuse it as politics.
We must not look the other way.
And we must not stand still while Black women are disrespected. Concerned Black Men stands with Black women—firmly, publicly, and without apology.
