FLORIDA DEMOCRATIC PARTY CONGRATULATES STATEWIDE AND CABINET NOMINEES
TALLAHASSEE, FL — Tonight, Florida Democrats nominated the candidates who will lead the ticket in November and end decades of one-party rule in Tallahassee.
“Congratulations to Angie Nixon, David Jolly and Gwen Graham, Annette Taddeo, and Joey Mendoza Atkins,” said Florida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried. “We also congratulate José Javier Rodríguez, who was unopposed for the Democratic nomination for Attorney General.
“Our primaries are a time to engage in passionate debate over the future of our party, and strengthen our stewardship over our shared values. I want to thank every Democrat who joined this fight, including Alex Vindman, Dayna Marie Foster, Dotie Joseph, Earle Ford, and Donald Prichard. Our party and our nominees are stronger when we fight together, and we look forward to joining forces to defeat Republican corruption in November.
“Floridians are paying more for groceries, gas, and insurance that covers less every year, and the people responsible have run out of excuses. Florida Democrats put forward a unity platform built entirely around affordability, because that is what Floridians are struggling with most. Republicans would rather spend the next three months talking about anything but the cost of living, and we are not going to let them.
“We have out-enrolled Republicans in vote-by-mail, recruited poll observers across the state, and have more than 6,000 volunteers contacting voters in all 67 counties. Democrats are united, organized, and ready to win.”
The Florida Democratic Party would like to congratulate the following statewide and Cabinet nominees on their victories:
U.S. Senate: Angie Nixon
Governor and Lieutenant Governor: David Jolly and Gwen Graham
Attorney General: José Javier Rodríguez
Chief Financial Officer: Annette Taddeo
Commissioner of Agriculture: Joey Mendoza Atkins
